Overview

The part that decides whether the rest worked.

Follow-up sounds like administration. It is the opposite: it is the only mechanism by which anyone finds out whether your recovery is going the way it should, early enough to do something about it.

A complication caught at day four is a conversation. The same complication noticed at day fourteen, by a patient who was not sure whether what they were seeing was normal, is a different situation entirely. That gap is what follow-up exists to close.

What we do

  • Scheduled in advance — your review dates are set as part of your plan, before your procedure
  • On the days that matter — timed to your specific procedure, not to a generic calendar
  • With the people who treated you — not a call centre and not a form
  • Wounds, swelling and progress — checked properly, and the plan adjusted if your body says so
  • Your questions — including the ones you feel silly asking. Those are usually the useful ones.

Knowing what is normal

Before you leave you are told what to expect over the coming weeks: what is normal, what is not, and what to do about it. Most worries during recovery are not complications — they are patients with no reference point. We give you one.

Medical follow-up consultation

If you live abroad

Follow-up does not end at the airport.

Your results are reviewed in clinic before you fly. After that you contact us directly — the team who treated you, in English, Spanish or German, so you can describe a worry properly in your own language.

  • Where something can be assessed remotely, we do that
  • Where it needs to be seen in person, we tell you honestly whether that means being seen locally or coming back
  • Where it is urgent, we say so plainly rather than reassuring you by default

FAQ

Common questions.

When are my follow-up appointments?
Set as part of your plan before your procedure, and timed to what you have had done rather than to a generic schedule.
Who will I see?
The medical team who treated you. Not a call centre, not a form.
What if I am worried between appointments?
Contact us. That is the point of having a number, and no question is too small — most recovery worries turn out to be normal, and knowing that is worth an appointment.
What if I have already flown home?
You contact us directly. We work in English, Spanish and German, and we will tell you honestly whether something needs to be seen in person.
How will I know what is normal?
You are told before you leave — what to expect, what is not expected, and what to do about it.
Is follow-up included?
What is and is not included is set out in writing before you proceed. Ask us and you will get a straight answer.
