Overview
Collagen stimulators (also called biostimulators) are injectable treatments that work differently to volumising fillers — rather than adding volume directly, they trigger your own body to gradually produce new collagen, improving skin firmness, density and structural support over time.
A biocompatible substance is injected at a calculated depth. Over the following weeks, it stimulates your body's own fibroblasts to produce new collagen, so improvements build gradually rather than appearing instantly.
Suited to patients noticing early skin laxity or volume loss who want a gradual, natural-building result rather than an immediate change. Reviewed at consultation alongside your skin quality and goals.
Your doctor assesses your skin structure and goals, and explains how a course of sessions builds towards your result over the following months.
Mild swelling or small bumps at injection points can occur initially and usually settle within days. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours.
Results build gradually over 4–8 weeks as collagen production increases, with the full effect typically assessed after a short course of sessions.
