Thread Lift

What is it?

A thread lift uses fine, dissolvable threads inserted beneath the skin to gently lift and support areas of mild-to-moderate sagging, most often around the mid-face, jawline and neck — as a non-surgical alternative or a complement to other treatments.

How does it work?

Threads are inserted through very fine entry points and anchored to lift the tissue along a planned vector. As the threads dissolve over following months, they also stimulate some natural collagen production in the surrounding tissue.

Who is a good candidate?

Best suited to patients with mild-to-moderate sagging who want a lifting effect without surgery. More significant laxity may be better suited to a surgical approach, discussed openly at consultation.

Consultation process

Your doctor assesses your skin laxity and facial structure, and maps out where threads would be placed to achieve a natural-looking lift.

Recovery

Mild swelling, bruising or a pulling sensation is common for a few days. We recommend avoiding wide jaw movements and strenuous exercise for around a week.

Results

An initial lift is visible immediately, with the final result settling over the following weeks as any swelling resolves.
